This project is based around the term Paradise inspired by my primary research from two historical buildings in Pakistan, ‘Lahore Fort’ and ‘Wazir Khan mosque. I will be creating a number of collections for home textiles, using different colour palettes, focused on my contemporary responses to the theme of Paradise.  It is said that the floral work on the walls of the mosque is inspired by the Punjabi floral common artists in Lahore. The dome features frescoes depicting trees, pitchers of wine, and platters of fruit, which are an allusion to the Islamic concept of Paradise.
